How to Get Rid of Wrinkles

middle aged ladyWHAT ARE WRINKLES?

Well, wrinkles are lines or creases that show up on the skin. They can be caused by a number of factors, including sun damage, smoking, and ageing.

wrinkles are naturally part of the signs that show your body is ageing.

The more we get older, the more our body starts to get drier and losing hydration, thinner and less elastic than it used to be. When your body starts getting this way it is less able to be protected from skin injuries and damage.

This allows your skin to be more prone to creases, wrinkles and lines as it cannot bounce back as fast as it used to.

Today we are looking at some tips to how to remove or reduce your wrinkles

SLEEP LIKE A BABY

Babies have the right ideas on how to sleep compared to us adults.

Lack of sleep can increase or worsen wrinkles, sleep like a baby and get the full hours of sleep your body needs.

Also, some wrinkles on your facial skin and neck areas may be caused by how you sleep.

Sleep like a baby on your back and your skin won’t be squeezed in odd positions throughout the night and become wrinkled by morning.

Also sleep on a clean, silk pillowcase. Aside from other benefits to your hair, it also helps your skin look great as well.

LIMIT YOUR SUGAR INTAKE

We’ve all heard how bad sugar can be for the body but most people don’t know that they can be a trigger for wrinkles as well. When sugar enters the body they trigger glycation.

Glycation is simply be explained as a process whereby the sugar molecules in your system overwhelm the system and bond with fats and protein molecules in your skin cells. The process has a byproduct Advanced Glycation End Products a.k.a AGEs.

The whole AGEs creation process causes your protein cells to become malformed and less supple.

This affects the proteins your skin needs to remain youthful, your collagen, and elastin making them weak, stiff, and discoloured.

This now results in sagginess, wrinkles, fine lines, and a general loss of radiance. Try to reduce your sugar consumption and remember sugar comes from foods like carbohydrates as well not just direct sugar.

AVOID MOVING AROUND IN THE SUN

Sunlight is a big cause of wrinkles. There have been several research studies that have been conducted that proved this to be true.

Always put on sunscreen with at least SPF 15, if you are planning to go out in the sun as it will protect you from wrinkles and the dangers of skin cancer as well.

All these treatments are great for reducing wrinkles.

GET A FACIAL

A facial can help to improve the appearance of your skin by cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating it. It can also help to reduce your wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging.

You should get a facial or use a home made facial product like sheet mask at least once a month to deal with wrinkles. They will also help to exfoliate your skin and to remove any dead skin cells that could be causing your wrinkles.

USE AN ANTI-WRINKLE SERUM

Apply an anti-wrinkle serum or cream to your face and neck every day after cleansing. These products can help to fill in fine lines and wrinkles, making them less visible. Look for a product that contains retinol, hyaluronic acid, or vitamin C to get the most anti-aging benefits.

How early should you start using anti-wrinkle serums? Most anti-wrinkle serums should be used once you start to see fine lines and wrinkles, which is typically around the age of 30.

STOP SMOKING

Smoking is a major cause of wrinkles. The nicotine found within cigarettes constricts your blood vessels, which reduces blood flow and oxygen to your skin. This now causes the skin to become dry and wrinkled.

If you are really serious about dealing with your wrinkles so you start looking better, you need to stop smoking immediately.
